Using Drones in the Classroom
Industry use of drones is growing every day! Given the availability of scalable, user-friendly drones, industries have begun to quickly adopt drones to take on tasks previously not possible, or to replace jobs that are dull, dirty, or dangerous for humans. By welcoming drones into the classroom, teachers have a new way of making learning more fun, innovative, and interactive for students. Further, it gives students the opportunity to learn about technology that they may wish to base their future career on. A report from Samsung released in August 2020 discovered that 16-to-18-year-olds are more interested in digital roles – with a drone operator being amongst the top ten most popular dream careers. Educators can use drones to teach computer science, science, math, geography, and art.
